Is it weird that I am surprised you can make cookies in numbers that are not divisible by 12?
Not really surprised, my dozens don't exactly come out even, but somehow taken aback.
Maybe it's just that the extra-dozen remainders are fair game for eating before they cool off and therefore do not really count as finished product.

I never manage the same number advertised. Usually more for drop cookies (I make them smaller) but for this recipe, I had to triple it to get 5doz. And from the initial batches, I was only getting 20 each, so I have no idea how 77 happened. Same special cookie scoop (must thank SIL.)

My dad joined the Navy very near the end of WWII, signed up for flight school, and then the war ended. So they kicked him out of the training program he was in and put him on a troop ship to Japan to bring soldiers back.
He got the GI bill out of it, and never had to fight, which I'm fine with.
