Pallas cats with Santa hats is cracking me up. I don't even nmeed to actually see it, the mental image is enough.
Y'all made me go read a recap of Master Chef Jr.
I don't think the Senior Director realized she was scheduling the annual Operations Goes to the Movies Day for opening day of the Battle of Five Armies. This'll be interesting.
I'm not sure why my boss doesn't think it's urgent that we make our team lunch reservations ASAP, but don't you think next week is going to be prime time for going out to lunch? There are eight of us! On the upside, I bet that increases our chances of having to go to my first choice place, since it's big.
We actually have reservations for breakfast at 10:30 There are around 50 of us, I think. I'm betting the time is when the restaurant could seat us rather than any preference on the scheduler's part, but it will be nice to get the not-actually-working part of the day started so early. Also I would rather order off this restaurant's breakfast menu, I remember thinking that last year when we went to the same place for lunch.
Oh, that sounds kind of great.
I'm still LBD free, but I usually listen to classic rock in the car. Still, I'm out where I'm vulnerable to Christmas Muzak, and I'm still free.
I think, if you're gonna get LDB'd, the Sinatra&Bowie version and the new Christopher Lee version are the way to go.
A completely different gripe about my work today. I work in an office with 5 people, we share 1 bathroom. This morning at 9 when I went to use the bathroom, empty tp roll and the sad last paper towel on the roll. People just suck. Supplies are in a closet everyone has access to.
I work by the secondary kitchen area here, and it's to the point where I'm excited if anyone else replaces the paper towels. People!
Hey editors and other knowledgable people:
I'm editing a MSS using CMoS 16th ed. There's a book title at the end of a section of dialogue and I have searched for 20 minutes to see if it should be "Book Title."" or 'Book Title.'"
Any help?
Also, scuba divers? Are C.A.L.M. and/or R.E.L.A.X diving acronyms? I scoured 7 scuba acronym pages and couldn't find them? Am I just blind??
Any help appreciated!
