Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Punishingly Intricate

Hoard yer spoons!

Good advice!! Hope it all goes as smoothly as possible. And we'll definitely have to have a mid-Atlantic get together when you're settled, Strix.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's a big change, Strix -- but it will also be an adventure, which is kind of cool

Loki's on bupes. I'm not sure why I find this so hilarious. Except that my cats have all been on harder drugs than I ever have.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Take your time building up spoons, Strix.

That's great to read, Theo.

They are white rabbits, Zen. Of course, I don't have food coloring lying around, but I could get some. Oh wait, I do have some lying around. As part of the cake I'm supposed to be making tonight. Oops. Better get on that...

ETA: forgot to hit post before wandering off to the kitchen. Cake is actually in the oven now.

Dabbed a bit of a blue streak onto Lucy's head. Or Ethel's. I will observe and decide.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Fab, -t!

Will rabbits wear collars?

I saw some wild baby bunnies last night, out behind the patio of the private restaurant room that we had the party in. It was as swanky as you could want.

Today I'm getting a ride back to Boston with my cousin's family. Her daughter is going to Tufts in the fall, so they're checking out the dorm where she'll be and signing her up for stuff and so on. So I've got some more Family Time ahead of me, which is good.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We have wild rabbits around my apartment. As well as deer, foxes, woodchucks, and hawks. Sometimes it's hard to believe I live in town. Then I hear sirens.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Today's minor problem: The sole lining thing of these shoes came unstuck, so it gets wrinkly and annoying as I walk. So I put insoles in, and now the shoes are too tight. It seems dumb to pull out the lining altogether, but maybe that would help?

Ann, that's a ferret.

I just saw this now, so apologies for the delay:

I told them I had to do things for Hubby while he was in the hospital. Me getting a break is a thing Hubby would want me to do.

Connie, he also needs you to get a break. You need all the spoons you can get right now so you can go through your ordinary routine and take care of him as well.

And I'll see if I can get Arthur to stay home over the next few days....
