Gracie's claws would get so long she would get caught on stuff but I never could get more than one or two cut before she turned into a ball of fury.

I always figured the trimming was for my benefit, not the cat's.
Slinky's old claw sheath usually just pops off (which is a little unnerving, to find a "claw" on the couch -- at first I thought it was her actual claw, ripped out, but the interwebs informed me about the old claw sheath dealie). And the weird thing is, none of her other claws are even *close* to long enough to become ingrown. I have no idea what happened with this one.
It's an evil claw.
I was wondering why it said "KILL KILL KILL KILL" on the litter box.
Better Monday than usual. First, the weather is glorious and the open sliders and windows are making me good moody. Second, I got my tree finished and it is pretty and smells nice. Then best news, the poor super unhappy truck that was towed home after self destructing on Thanksgiving will be okay. The horrible noise and smoke was one of the brand new injectors that failed. I think maybe you did need to know that.
I don't have *time* to know that! ::weeps::
Tep, when Mo was still around, one of her claws got ingrown. I think we'd somehow missed it when trimming them. I felt like the worst cat owner ever.

Woot!
Shadow would get caught in the carpeting, and I think he eventually got the connection between "Let Mommy do horrible things to my feet" vs. "I'm stuck in the floor, this is so humiliating."
I am able to clip the nails of my old, grouchy, people-hating cat and completely unable to clip the nails of the friendly mellow young cat - who is mellow except when he ISN'T.
