We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Do like my last driver and due for Lyft too!

I had a ten out of fucking ten headache. One that deserves the hyperbole and a half pain chart--I don't think I've ever screamed for hours before. I barfed a little when I first got to the ER, in that sort of don't fight the feeling sort of way. Just a little. And then in the middle of having meds pushed I had to interrupt her and upchuck all the water I'd drunk since. 550cc. I'm so proud...

At least the pain is at an eight now.

Oh shit! PMM, I posted the littlest Winter Soldier to the io9 chat group. I figured since it gets fewer readers than Jilli's tumblr it should be okay. I can nuke it if you like.

One of the other posters said his young son went as Falcon and had multiple staredowns with a few little Winter Soldiers. None as cute as Tickybox (whose nomme du net was posted by someone else--she's anonymously famous!) though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ow, ita. I hope it continues to get better.

I want to make some cream puffs as a test for the croquembouche I want to make for Christmas. I have all this buttermilk leftover, so would it be weird to put buttermilk pudding inside cream puffs??

Excellent point.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's snowing here. Bleah.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I cannot even believe it, but mom and I went to a store last night. I swore I'd never shop on Thanksgiving.

Anyway, 2 jackets for mac, some flannel sheets, leather gloves for me and even a couple of little things for his Christmas. All were at least 40% off. None of these were the crowd swamped things and we didn't go until the store had been open for a few hours.

Today was sleep-in, now clean-up, and then decorate!

brillig

High of 57 here today. I'm going to dare the crowds and go to the movie and the bank and the pet store. I think I'll make meatloaf again tonight.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Wow, how did you find that out? Is it some sort of decorative spoon, or a serving spoon, or?

We were putting out the silver, and started wondering about the set (it was our maternal grandmother's), and I was scouting around the net trying to identify the pattern. But my sister has a random selection of other pieces that she or her husband picked up over the years, the way one does, including this one spoon she figures he got at a yard sale or something.

Turns out it's a chocolate spoon from this set: [link]

And the price I saw quoted for an 1878 vintage chocolate spoon of the Olympian pattern by Tiffany was $195. So that was fun.

Never did manage to identify the pattern on Mom's crystal, though. Dad says he bought it in Bermuda when he was there on the Naval Reserve, sometime in the 50s.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nifty. What are chocolate spoons meant to be used for?

Anti-pain~ma, ita. That sounds dreadful.

Enjoying my leftover pie for breakfast and considering a second cup of coffee right now.

we decided that turkey is not really a tasty bird, and that we prefer chicken

Whereas my dad and I had many short conversation on the topic of "Turkey: How so delicious?" Which is good because I have half the bird and a jar of drippings leftover, and my (mostly vegan) parents have most of a pint of gravy and a wee pot of turkey stock made from yesterday's gnawed bones to get through. I do think the heritage bird is significantly tastier than a Butterball, although also significantly more expensive than chicken
