Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

did I see him on Major Crimes last night?

World's prettiest (that's auto correct--*I* meant "pissiest*) doctor?

Damn I don't know if I've got a season pass¹ or not anymore... and he doesn't trigger the permanent CFerg season pass (do many people use search season passes? On what? I used to have one with krav set to record but it never fires. I hope Colin gets good residuals, because that horrible Diane Keaton movie seems like it's always waitng for me to delete.

finally bought my ticket home. .. and saved $250. I'm not going to gamble with that a lot, but what a relief!

¹: Who prefers Closer over Major Crimes? I don't think I do. They still have Jon. I did wonder if her Brooklyn Nine Nine appearance should have been a nod. Ah, well.

Why is the Uber app not letting me in? ?? Theo, I swear, is this your doing? ?

Lyft is the one with the pink mustaches, right?

OH. I still hate them, but I'm glad there was a point. I'd meant to ask.

If the Uber app doesn't let me in soon, gonna be Lyfted...

Oh, and Leverage didn't solve crimes. But HTGAWM usually did, as well as the overarching premise of solving that. Enh. Maybe the overarching didn't count.

I'd love to hear the premise of the show past the first season.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Maybe it's trying to get me to be your driver? I wonder how many minutes it's listing me as "away".

Lyft has the mustaches, yes. I think I'd rather be under the radar so far as taxi drivers go, I have a slight fear of my car being pounded on by crowbars. (Really, just guilt speaking.)

Calli, insent. I am able to be on google chat most of this afternoon if you'd like something less asynchronous than email.

My Uber driver gave me a lift $25 coupon. Remarkably unconflicted young man.

Apparently I have 4.8 UberUberbeenz. I am now worrying over which ride gave me a four. Maybe the Russian guy I had difficulty giving instructions to after the ER?

Anyway, this driver says he'll give me five, so....

Theo, why did you go for Uber and not, say, Lyft? This driver also implied you can tip Uber drivers, and now I feel pressure again. Removing that pressure was relieving. Theo--are you expecting tips?

I've only gotten one tip so far. I won't ask, but I certainly can accept one.

Actually, you (ita) may have swayed me to the Uber side of the Force.

I might not have been so eager if I'd known how many Uber drivers were out there. Seeing the map from the rider app is sobering. Otoh, I'm getting ride requests very steadily.

brillig

Signs you've adjusted to winter:

The guy in the next cubicle said "It's so warm outside, it's like spring!" It's 38 degrees.

I am on a train waiting to depart! I wonder how many books I'll plow through this break with no internet or cell signal to distract me.

I need to talk to Virgin Mobile, because somehow changing phones involved going over my data limit, which has never happened before....
