Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My Uber driver gave me a lift $25 coupon. Remarkably unconflicted young man.

Apparently I have 4.8 UberUberbeenz. I am now worrying over which ride gave me a four. Maybe the Russian guy I had difficulty giving instructions to after the ER?

Anyway, this driver says he'll give me five, so....

Theo, why did you go for Uber and not, say, Lyft? This driver also implied you can tip Uber drivers, and now I feel pressure again. Removing that pressure was relieving. Theo--are you expecting tips?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've only gotten one tip so far. I won't ask, but I certainly can accept one.

Actually, you (ita) may have swayed me to the Uber side of the Force.

I might not have been so eager if I'd known how many Uber drivers were out there. Seeing the map from the rider app is sobering. Otoh, I'm getting ride requests very steadily.

Signs you've adjusted to winter:

The guy in the next cubicle said "It's so warm outside, it's like spring!" It's 38 degrees.

I am on a train waiting to depart! I wonder how many books I'll plow through this break with no internet or cell signal to distract me.

I need to talk to Virgin Mobile, because somehow changing phones involved going over my data limit, which has never happened before....

My cubicle neighbors are being amusing again:

"By the power of Greyskull, this install will succeed!"

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I have had pretty much nothing to do at work this week. (Yesterday I got a quote for something we needed, so I was able to order it. That's been it.) Oh well, short week.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OMG, the fic I'm reading has interspecies sex, which I'm fine with. MPREG, which---okay, not really HermaphroditePREG--I can read past.

But the baby is a weird mer octopus with too few tentacles and now I can't stop worrying about it.

I NEED A JOB.

(Next interview Monday, they will decide quickly....)

Um... what fandom? (Please let it be Aquaman/Little Mermaid.)
