Dear god, I'm a lousy draw-er. But Noah doesn't seem to mind.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

FWIW, I've found 4G to be a battery-draining PITA, and mostly have it turned off on my phone. I'm not sure if that's because the coverage isn't great, so the phone is always searching, or what.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ferguson, why are you a name that brings such pain. .. remember that Colin Ferguson? Can you imagine my face at hearing that news piece? Because of course it was on the radio, so no pictures. But now CFerg's Google his outnumber the (of course) jamaican killer.

But this is injustice, and that's different from crime.

I encourage you to use the other day's m-w word of the day, Job's comforter:

discourages or depresses while seemingly giving comfort and consolation

Danny, a reliable Job's comforter, assured Shane that the girl who'd broken his heart had always been out of his league.

"It's a blessing for me, he said, that my joints are frozen solid with the arthritis, because if I tried to run around like I used to, my heart would give out sure. I told him he was a Job's comforter, what good is keeping my heart going like a watch that won't tell time if I can't get up and cook." — Ross Macdonald, The Ivory Grin, 1952

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

For purposes of Ubering, I can keep it on the charger in the car -- so long as I have better connectivity, it's a big win.

what is Uber's competitor with a similar app presence? I want to try them sometime. Begins with an el.

How To Get Away With Murder--is that considered a procedural?

They caught serious bad guys on Brooklyn nine nine. Clearly a procedural.

Forever Knight was considered by TV Guide to be a crime drama, so why the hell not?

How To Get Away With Murder--is that considered a procedural?

If it is, then should Leverage be a procedural too?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We've been talking HTGAWM in Procedurals, fwtw. Although the MotW model has not really held up. has it?

Haven't watched this week's B99, alas.

ETA: Leverage conveniently fell under Cable so we didn't have decide what genre it should be

Uber's biggest competitor is Lyft, and there's also Sidecar. I'm actually pretty impressed with Uber's software, which gives the rider real-time updating about where their/any car is, and how long the estimated time to arrival is.

Also the navigation estimate seems right on, even with traffic to contend with, mostly -- my bane is one-way streets. Today I found myself taking a fare to South Boston, and I've never driven there before, and then Uber found me a close-by fare back into downtown
