Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

I successfully recycled electronics this morning! I need to box up my old TiVo so I can take it in next time it's reasonably convenient.

What I've been trying to do is focus on small areas and declutter during commercial breaks for TV and period breaks during hockey, and trying to be ruthless. Ongoing, but low effort.

I do need to dig deeper into closets and under my bed.

Our wings are not tired.

The AIDS shelter took most of Steve's clothes. (they also took his drugs for appropriate use, which I can say since it was almost 30 years ago) His fancy duds like tuxedos and suits went to a local theater and they were thrilled. He had 3 tuxedos, weirdo.

Most of my stuff that needs sorting and selling/tossing/donating is in storage. Out of sight. Bad plan really, but there it is.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Back home now. Just ordered pizza.

I just did a clothing pass on the right side of my closet while watching the first episode of Jane the Virgin. Now I have another bag to donate.

I had to buy groceries today, and due to some lapse of common sense I went to the new mega-Kroger that just opened a few days ago. Gridlock front to back, people standing around gawking and visiting with friends while blocking intersections. Luckily they announced some free gift giveaway on one side of the store when I was almost done and I managed to break away toward the checkout lines in the opposite direction.

Bonus: Got Little Drummer Boy'd while backing my car out.

I fielded a reference question at work from someone looking for the sheet music for Little Drummer Boy abut 10 days ago. Does that count?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Connie, I think a shelter would take them and be glad for them. Sturdy clothes are good, never mind a few flaws.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Now that you mention it, I don't think I even heard Little Drummer Boy last year.

Franny and Cody went thru her closet just now and got rid of two bags of stuff, one for donate, one for her wee cousin. If anyone here wants a bag of girls dresses and jackets, sizes 6-8, let me know.

And meanwhile? Making lentils for dinner, which luckily corresponds well with wine and buffistas.

I wish there were as many outlets for donation around here as there are in "real" cities. We've got the non-denominational thrift store, we've got the Mormon thrift store, then there's the homeless shelter/food bank. And even then it's not an actual shelter, because the city fathers don't want a place where "those sorts" would congregate.
