"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

It used to take me forever to figure out where downloaded things "went"(It sort of helps that Firefox has a folder for them, but nobody really explained it cause I used to have somebody just "Let me do that!" and now he's gone. I've learned a lot, considering, but my math problems are not a great loss to women in STEM.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yesterday I had an empty cat food can in one hand and a glass of fresh water in the other. I dropped the cat food can in the regular trash and poured the glass of water into the recycling bin instead of the cat's water bowl.

Oh, I have accidentally used insulin syringes for a bunch of things. Including stabbing myself. Though that was unintended too.

Packed but for toiletries and the stuff still in use.

Soon to warmer climes and twins!

Job transition options~ma, shrift!

I had my monthly book group tonight, which was lovely. One thing about unemployment--I'm sure getting the books read. Anyway, the host had this sort of cashew brittle with chili and lime. It was a perfect blend of sweet and hot and salty-sour. So good.

Have a great trip, sarameg!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

This Claude Fuller, Matt? [link]

That's the one, Calli. I found out on a walking tour today that he went on a tear to clean up the criminal element of the city in the early 20th century and got jumped and stabbed for his trouble, resulting in the sheriff of the time beating the crap out of the brothel owner responsible and chasing his whole operation out of town.

In other news, this is somehow a less than shocking revelation: [link]

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

So I went to a work happy hour, which was fun, except I spilled half of my second (SECOND) beer all over two of my favorite coworkers! So then I was cut off. Ooops.

I was once cut off at a bar for spillage. I was drinking club soda at the time, but the bartender did not care. Spill and no more beverages was the rule. I guess she figured that some people just can't handle all those bubbles.

Ok, all that's left to do is stop at the 7-11 for plane snacks. And slip the mini into my bag. 3 hrs to my flight and OF COURSE I'm overthinking when I need to leave the house. Need to wait on traffic.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woo hoo! The meeting was not looking forward to this morning just got cancelled! My big boss apologized for not telling me yesterday, but I'm just as happy to get the gift of the hour on a Friday morning. (Luckily, I didn't really have to prepare and get here well before 9 anyway.)

ION, I am registered! Tried doing it online, got all the way to the final step, and their server errored on me. Was in a panic that this was proof that my registration was being denied. Sweated all through my wait at the MVC. Her computer had her frowning, panicked some more.

Hopefully this is the last of this business
