I just got geriatric home or facility insurance that will turn into life insurance if I do not need it. We are at that age.

I should probably look into something like that, but I think I'll keep being irresponsible for a few more months. Because really being fiscally responsible is going to suck, I'm pretty sure.
Yeah, I'm way behind in retirement savings, which means I should be putting away way more than I am currently doing. I am going to up it some, but not to the point of pain yet.
We have both had long-term care insurance for quite a while. I call it our retirement insurance.
I know a while back my mom's financial advisor told her not to get long-term care insurance because she had the expectation of an inheritance that she could earmark for that. But I don't know the details or if that was actually good advice.
