If you could move anywhere, where would you go?

I like cities near large bodies of water with diverse food scenes and good public transportation. Preferably near an airport hub. If I have to move, I may as well go someplace with milder winters, which makes San Francisco a pretty good choice if it wasn't for the cost of living.

Cobble Hill, about 5 blocks south of where I live now, or Red Hook, about 25 blocks south.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Daisy Jane, complaining about the current frigid winter in Texas, posted on FB that it wasn't fair, because we sure don't live here for the politics.

Our wings are not tired.

I have to be warm. DH's best friend went for a short visit to Jamaica to take care of family stuff a year ago and at this point I don't think he is ever coming back. If I say I am off to visit Sean, know I may not return either. He lives in Whitehouse, which is coastal from my understanding. He says there is a lot of fishing there, which would suit DH.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I would live somewhere with like-minded people. That is what is killing me most about my current location, no tribe. Also very little near nearby good food.

For me it would be ideal to not have to choose one. DH loved being a military brat and living different places, and I enjoyed moving about back when I did that frequently. For a long time we have been anchored by business and family, but that chapter will be closing before long. Then I think the nomadic life would suit us just fine.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My coworker was just saying if we have another winter like we had last year, she's moving to Rwanda. Which makes sense if you work here.

msbelle, on the stopping-meds front, just please keep an eye on yourself, because if you need meds, you should take them and not quit just because you feel like it! I am just saying.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I totally do the write-no-post thing. All. The. Time.

I would like to live someplace prettier, and maybe smaller and more accessible. But not a small town, maybe a smaller city? Doesn't have to be the US, but needs to be temperate climate, good food, and a large body of water nearby.

As my current self, there's no better place for me to live. If I were rich, I'd consider NYC again.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Large body of water is mandatory for me too--the furthest I've been from it was the UK, and at least I knew it was an island and the Thames is almost H2O.

Laura, the fresh fish in Jamaica! I'm a big fish fan, but hate to cook it myself because it smells up my whole apartment. Every time I go home, I need an escoveitch fish (with a little festival, which I think is close to johnny cake). Sometimes it takes a long time to get fed because the boat is out on the water, but better prepared places have coolers you can pick your meal from (always Red Snapper for me).

GODDAMN DOCTOR'S OFFICE! I have actual things to do today.
