Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My coworker was just saying if we have another winter like we had last year, she's moving to Rwanda. Which makes sense if you work here.

msbelle, on the stopping-meds front, just please keep an eye on yourself, because if you need meds, you should take them and not quit just because you feel like it! I am just saying.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I totally do the write-no-post thing. All. The. Time.

I would like to live someplace prettier, and maybe smaller and more accessible. But not a small town, maybe a smaller city? Doesn't have to be the US, but needs to be temperate climate, good food, and a large body of water nearby.

As my current self, there's no better place for me to live. If I were rich, I'd consider NYC again.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Large body of water is mandatory for me too--the furthest I've been from it was the UK, and at least I knew it was an island and the Thames is almost H2O.

Laura, the fresh fish in Jamaica! I'm a big fish fan, but hate to cook it myself because it smells up my whole apartment. Every time I go home, I need an escoveitch fish (with a little festival, which I think is close to johnny cake). Sometimes it takes a long time to get fed because the boat is out on the water, but better prepared places have coolers you can pick your meal from (always Red Snapper for me).

GODDAMN DOCTOR'S OFFICE! I have actual things to do today.

If I had the money and could work remotely (hey, got that one down), I'd want multiple places. One in the city - SF or NYC, one cabin, and a place or two overseas.

suspect I belong in the Pacific Northwest. I never liked heat, but I like it less every year. I have no desire to fight snow and ice, though. It's pretty hard for me to make plans these days, though.

I think it's pretty awesome here. Though the lack of light in winter makes me think my ideal would involve a winter home somewhere else.

I like cities near large bodies of water with diverse food scenes and good public transportation. Preferably near an airport hub. If I have to move, I may as well go someplace with milder winters, which makes San Francisco a pretty good choice if it wasn't for the cost of living.

This!

I would consider living in PDX or London. While there are people I love very much in the L.A. area, the sun and heat make it not a possibility.

Fuck fuck fuck, this weekend is going to get fired. The person who was going to be hosting/cooking my birthday dinner badly threw out his back, so new plans have to be figured.

That's a minor annoyance. The weekend is REALLY getting fired because a dear friend of mine just admitted that their partner is physically abusive, so there are a group of us working on getting them out of there.

No one else gets to have a crisis, okay? Please?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My ready answer is Tucson -- I like the desert, and the desert heat, and culturally there's a lot of compatible cool stuff going on there. But I also liked Vermont a whole lot the times I've been up there, so if you wave a wand and give me fundage, I'll spend winter/spring in AZ and summer/fall in VT.
