Natter 73: Chuck Norris only wishes he could Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
In happier news, I have now seen Guardians of the Galaxy. My feeling that I am the last person to see it was reinforced by my being the only person in the theater. I thought I had missed it, but after seeing another Groot reference, I idly googled and found that this was the last day at any theater near me.
I now have a spirit animal, and it's a genetically altered and cybernetically enhanced raccoon.
Uhg, ita. I could make a run... in a little over a week. But I suspect you'll need it sooner.
So the freezer didn't get shut ( or got knocked open) this morning and I lost about half the contents. All the meat (just some pesto sausages and precooked chicken and some chicken potstickers), all my frozen produce... Some might've been salvageable, but sorting the still mostly frozen from the gloppy room temp stuff wasn't worth the effort. Oh well, it needed clearing out anyway. Got rid of some frozen veggies of dubious vintage.

I saw it with my dad in September, and we were practically the only people in the theater. One more person came in just as the movie was starting.
I know I saw it, but I don't remember if it was first-run or dollar movie. I've been hoping to see it at the dollar. I may just have to buy it, but I'm not sure if I loved it enough for that. Though Howard the Duck makes a strong case.
Gloopy stuff is no good.
ita, I have 7:00 PM tix for me and the kids somewhere, but I can come after that if you still need help. Text and let me know.
In other news, this is my new school: [link]

I am apparently going to be the last person. Sigh.
That sounds like a very positive environment, Kat!
ita, wish I were closer to go fetch stuff for you.
Kat, that sounds like a good fit for you!
Is it really not that obvious to people that instructions can be modified?
I don't think people are encouraged to think for themselves very much. And I suspect that the people with those cognitive abilities aren't going to post comments, because a) they already figured it out, and b) publicly indicating that you're capable of modifying a thing means suddenly you are tech support of said thing.
Or check out the Epicurious comments, where no one follows the recipe and is then surprised at what happens.
ita, I would seriously order you stuff to be delivered if you tell me what you want. And also your address.
I went to Mary Chung's and had delicious Chinese/Szechuan food with loud boisterous friends. Between this and the lively kids in the math tutoring, I feel like I'm at my public interaction limit for the week.
And, I did a really nice job of dummying up a Wordpress site for my friend's Humane Society group (the same people with the dog rescue business cards). That should give them a good idea of what is possible with a site upgrade (their site is copyright 2007 and built with Word). At any rate it was nice to take a bunch of off-the-shelf theme components and make them sit up and behave.
Now I have math homework -- well, going through the handout sheet the teacher passed out, because I haven't the faintest idea what the Foil Method for multiplying binomials is.
