Sweet Jesus. I bow before you.
Well, *I* don't do 52 journals! I do two, one of which I'm handing off to my protege (I'm so proud). I'll get a new one next year. I edit around 4000 pages a year. Fast turnaround time. I'm working right now. Author doesn't like the amount of space between the numbers and the words after them. hahaha yeah. Burnout.

That's the kind of author reply where I squint at the screen and mutter "Fuuuuuuuuuck youuuuuuuuuu."

Allyson! Welcome back, and I'm glad things are improving.
Too bad about the counters, though.
I am considering counters.
ita, I hope things look up. You deserve a lot of good luck. As does Theo.
My dog is anxious, dunno why. Probably because she doesn't like the way she feels: she had a needle biopsy today and they sedated her for it, and she must feel weird. But it makes me feel bad because I can't do anything to reassure her. Hopefully she'll settle down.
Now I get to be anxious and wait to find out if she has cancer. One way or another, there will be surgery, but the biopsy will tell me whether I have to spend next month's mortgage payment on further tests.
I'm glad to see you, ita, but I wish things were easing up for you. Many fingers crossed on job and health fronts.
And glad to see you too, Allyson. Yay for healing, and hanging out for a while.
I am crazy tired so I am going to bed and rest of the grading will have to wait for tomorrow. Oh well.
My knowledge of the Uber system comes from the training videos, and yes, we get to see the passenger ratings before we say yes to giving a ride. I guess I'd better see if there's more of an instruction manual out there.
(There may be a need for "Uber: The Missing Manual" booklet or something.)
Congrats on the new job, Gudanov!
I think I forgot to put on blush this morning. I hate when I do that!
Theo, good thing you don't have to worry about The Knowledge!
I have a pretty good working knowledge of Camberville streets, not to mention a handy GPS. The finding-my-way-around part doesn't daunt me at all, which is one reason this might be a good gig for me.
