I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

Allyson! Welcome back, and I'm glad things are improving.

Too bad about the counters, though.

I am considering counters.

ita, I hope things look up. You deserve a lot of good luck. As does Theo.

My dog is anxious, dunno why. Probably because she doesn't like the way she feels: she had a needle biopsy today and they sedated her for it, and she must feel weird. But it makes me feel bad because I can't do anything to reassure her. Hopefully she'll settle down.

Now I get to be anxious and wait to find out if she has cancer. One way or another, there will be surgery, but the biopsy will tell me whether I have to spend next month's mortgage payment on further tests.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm glad to see you, ita, but I wish things were easing up for you. Many fingers crossed on job and health fronts.

And glad to see you too, Allyson. Yay for healing, and hanging out for a while.

I am crazy tired so I am going to bed and rest of the grading will have to wait for tomorrow. Oh well.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My knowledge of the Uber system comes from the training videos, and yes, we get to see the passenger ratings before we say yes to giving a ride. I guess I'd better see if there's more of an instruction manual out there.

(There may be a need for "Uber: The Missing Manual" booklet or something.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think I forgot to put on blush this morning. I hate when I do that!

Theo, good thing you don't have to worry about The Knowledge!

I have a pretty good working knowledge of Camberville streets, not to mention a handy GPS. The finding-my-way-around part doesn't daunt me at all, which is one reason this might be a good gig for me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, this is cool: Where to Watch

The Motion Picture Association of America joined the pack with a new site called WheretoWatch Monday, a sort of online search engine where customers can type in the name of a movie or TV show and find out exactly where they can watch it legally.

Users can search by title, genre, year it was produced or released, MPAA rating (PG or R), and whether it’s online, on DVD or in theaters. For example, if a user wants to watch the animated film Frozen, WheretoWatch shows that the movie can be purchased from Amazon Instant Video or iTunes, and watched on Disney Movies Anywhere or Vudu.

This should be very useful to me as I don't do ahemming.

Ugh. I just had a huge filling fall out of a tooth. It's a wisdom tooth that I've had repaired four or so times in the last 15 years. At least it's not hurting or anything, so I can survive for a bit...

I already had an appointment for a week from now for a cleaning and checkup, and they were able to schedule the tooth repair immediately after the cleaning so I don't need to make an extra trip to the dentist, which is very nice.
