Have faith, Laura. My #1 son, who would probably be great friends with yours, just got a job at McDonald's. He's taking it very seriously, and reporting in every day when he gets home, which is sort of heartbreakingly sweet. He also brought me an apple pie and french fries the other day!
Sometimes it just takes a while.
The standard weight of copy paper is 20 lb. bond. 24 lb. bond is heavier and is often used for stationery.
Clinks wine glass with Amy!
...and my boss texted back, so that question is also resolved!
I balanced my checkbook and still have money in the bank. Not as much as I'd like, but enough that panic need not be indulged for a couple more months.
I hate changing vacuum belts. Otoh, $5 fix vs $x00 new vacuum.
BTW, Theo, I think it's really cool that you are tutoring!
I'm afraid my computer is suddenly dying! It froze up, wouldn't restart, and is now taking forever to repair itself. Ugh. Good thing I have the work computer here!
Horrible cough seems to be a side effect of one of the BP meds. Okay. That's the same med I don't want to take anymore anyway, because of the side effects.
Like Laura said, the class of BP meds called ACE inhibitors ("ACE" = "angiotensin-converting enzyme") are known to cause cough. IIRC, any drug whose generic name ends in "-pril" is an ACE inhibitor. (For instance, brand-name Lotensin is generic name benazepril.)
Oddly, I take an ACE inhibitor (the aforementioned benazepril) and have not had a cough with it. (I say "oddly," because generally if there's a side effect to be had with ANY drug, I get it.)
I don't like taking medicine. They all seem like a deal with the Devil, you only get the good from it by losing something else.
That can be true in a lot of cases. Like I said, I don't have any side effects from my BP meds (as far as I know). But, like I also said, I do totally get side effects from other drugs. Shit, the list of what I can't take because it wants to kill me is growing every year, and it worries me that I am running out of antibiotics I can safely take.
I think meds can be a great thing and save lives (and lengthen/improve the quality of lives), but they aren't perfect.
I have switched out the summer for winter clothes. A few more things in the get rid of pile.
Mac needed new tennis shoes so we went to get some today. SIZE 11!! I know you people with tall genes are not gonna think anything about that for a boy child, but my dad wears 9.5s. Mac is 13.
