Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2013: That Was the Year That Was

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Out you go, 2013!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Nice to reflect on that rather than remembering all the hard stuff at the end of the year.

This is such a lovely sentiment, bonny!

Compassionately intolerant

Thanks, Kat. I really do love our loving of each other.

That, and I think being on day 174 of Shawn Achor's 21 day happiness program has had an effect.

Not that times aren't hard...in fact, today was the culmination of an intense stresser that has effected me so much over the last 3 years, my burden of anxiety hasn't lifted...it is actively looking for a new place to live. I don't even know how to be me with this change.

Anyhoo, it's been so helpful to me over the last few months to have the joy found in GBGR to reflect on.

As they say, a rising tide lifts all boats.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Sticking my head in the door quickly (on break from Day 1 of 3 days of all-day training) to say there was a very cute card from Spartacus in my mail last night. I've been pulling it out when training starts getting interminable, and it makes me smile. Thanks, Spartacus!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Spartacus!

Heheheehe!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My coworker has one of those! I love it.

Because books.

It is THE BEST. He is my favorite thing. I do need to get some more loose tea, though!

Thank you, Spartacus!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Not Spartacus but Java Cat sent me a get well gift of magnets and retro-robots!
