I got my Secret Santa package! A box of chocolate Band-aids for life's little boo-boos, yummy homemade cookies, a little calendar with horses, a Victorian-house coloring book, and the piece de resistance, a pretty heart-shaped box decoupaged with leaves from old books and my initial, containing little handmade wooden figurines of all the Avengers! I squealed out loud, I really did! I love it! They are going on my desk right now, where they will live happily ever after. Thank you!

Smoothie update: after the gym (instead of breakfast), frozen berries, milk, spinach, and coconut oil. No protein powder. Pretty dang tasty. I continue to feel extremely virtuous.

I had mashed potatoes last night and kept thinking "what could Polgara mix in to make a meal?" Meatloaf is perfect!!

I bought five pounds of carrots yesterday for boiling and mashing into my taters, so at least I'll be getting some veggies. And I just had roasted red pepper and gouda soup from the deli, which is freakin' amazing. And also contains veggies. :-D

It was me, it was me! God, I was FLIPPING OUT LIKE A MAMMAL -- if you ask msbelle, I emailed her TODAY freaking out that you hadn't gotten it, and convinced it was lost. I was actually at the mall tonight to return a sweater for Sara and looking for new horse calendars!

But you got it! I'm so relieved! I hope the cookies aren't completely stale -- I don't know if the weather last week was the delay or what, but it was not supposed to take so long!

I couldn't find the little 4" Avengers on your wishlist anywhere (and it was too late to order) so I thought, I'll make them! I hope you don't mind battle-scarred Hawkeye. ;-)

I thought it must be coming from the West Coast by ground, honestly, so I wasn't worried! But it got here! The cookies are fine; maybe the weather preserved them. It would have been a tragedy if that had been lost, because those Avengers figures are irreplaceable! Hawkeye is very proud of his battle scar.
