That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

Gravity Falls, some time in 2014!

Archer! (back in January?)

So say the ads, although I am mildly confused as to whether it will be on FX or FXX.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

So no commentary on the two most recent Korra episodes?

My DVR flaked out twice, so I had to watch them both online.

I'm trying to figure out what Unaloq's game is. I mean, obviously he's working to free Vatuu, but why? He seems ridiculously one-note villainy, which is below what I expect from these shows.

Yes, but look at what they've done with Lin Beifong. She's become a one-note police-chief hardass, rather than the tower of middle-aged awesome she was in the first season.

Also, I'm assuming they didn't get Renee Auberjonois for the owl spirit in the library: it didn't sound the same. It was nice to see him and Iroh, though.

He seemed to imply that he thinks he's the good guy in the library. I'm not pleased with the light=good, dark=evil story we've been getting, but I'm willing to see where it goes.

I really enjoyed Korra's journey through the spirit world this week, although I'm not sure how I feel about Uncle Iroh showing up.

I was good with this episode right up to the point where they had Korra make the decision that was necessary to advance the plot, rather than the obviously correct one.

... at which point they had to have a deus ex machine come and fix the consequences of Korra making a bad decision.

Hey, man, it's not like she's been training her whole life to make hard decisions.

Yeah. I've been complaining about the same thing.

I think part of the problem is they're trying to juggle too many characters and plots this season.

Also, I'm assuming they didn't get Renee Auberjonois for the owl spirit in the library: it didn't sound the same. It was nice to see him and Iroh, though.

IMDB is saying it was Hector Elizondo both in this episode and in "The Library". It sounded the same to me.

Rene voiced The Mechanist in Avatar: TLA

I don't know. I'm not sure I could let a little girl die (and not just die, but be utterly destroyed) to save the world. I can't really blame Korra for that.

And considering the dragon-bird brought her there, I don't really have a huge issue with it coming to her rescue, though I agree it was a little too convenient.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I agree with both of you.

Yep. As opposed to Iroh, who sounded WAY different, even moreso than in the last season of A:TLA.
