Right on! Very exciting news.
Animation 1: I'm Not Bad, I'm Just Drawn That Way
A thread to discuss television and online animation.
Rat Queens, which I still need to read, to be made into a cartoon series: [link]
I'm confused. This article says the BBC are bringing back Danger Mouse, but I was under the impression that they already had.
WHAT.
New Fionna and Cake tonight!
LUMPY SPACE PRINCE OH RIGHT!!!
AWW FUCK.
DVR screwed up. No Korra for me. And it looks like it was pulled from iTunes, too. Crap.
That sucks, Scola.
All in all, I enjoyed the three new episodes. Wasn't blown away or anything, but I think the new season has a lot of potential.
Some additional Korra thoughts:
I wasn't completely sold on the portrayal of elderly Zuko until the scene in the elevator. That look on his face and the "It didn't work" was classic.
I'm glad Asami and Korra got some scenes together (and some tandem ass-kicking) and were able to basically shrug and say "Mako's an idiot" and move on with their lives.
Bolin is still a little too heavy on the comic-relief side of things, but at least he wasn't completely useless like he was for 3/4s of season 2.
The new villainous quartet are interesting, though I do wander how the first one (whose name I don't remember) managed to become a badass Airbender over the course of two weeks while stuck in a cell. I suppose the line about him reading old Air Nomad philosophical texts was supposed to hand-wave it?
The Tenzin recruiting montage was pretty amusing.
Not sure how I feel about the rehash of "The Dai Li have a secret prison" storyline. I mean, yeah, it's kind of their thing, but we already saw it once in A:TLA.
