You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Best. Apology. Evah.

I may or may not have taken one of Kato's tramadol pills when I had a terrible migraine that my regular migraine meds had no effect on.

I may or may not have done something similar. And called Cass and said loopy things.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

That is a good apology, but still annoying.

I have another off-site training. If I don't go, then the 15 kids who were conditional placements into college english will have to take remedial english instead. Way to pressure me, Cal State system.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I could see the gift card being a suggestion from the girlfriend, but I'm willing to attribute the apology note to him.

Even so, he is willing to either seek advice on how to make things right or knows enough to take advice when it is offered. I gotta think even if his mom or girlfriend gave him very specific marching orders, if he did not realize the value of what she said, he would have worked in a grudging, backhanded apology.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That is a good apology, but still annoying.

I am damn tired. I just taped a note to his door that says "Apology accepted. Thank you for the gift card." And with that I think I need to go to bed.

Because books.

I think that's a perfect way to end it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need adult supervision. I just re-jacked my ankle. Not as badly, but the difference now is that extending past the range of motion makes me scream and cry.

It was the same thing--leg numb, tried to move, overcommitted, flexed the joint nonconcensually and a shooting burning pain up the outsode of the bandage.

So, to bed, with an icepack and a bandage, and a bit of self--pity.

SLR photographers, what focal length prime lens do you use for portraiture and what aperture do you use?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

ita! No more pain, woman! Ouch.

Today is a Rule of 5 day for me:

1 load of laundry Dust office Sweep office Clean surfaces in bathroom Clean tub (slowly and gently; I'll count that as stretching for my back.)

Tomorrow will be onerous task day for me.

What 5 things/5 minute long tasks can others do today?

Anyone want to join me in Onerous Task Friday?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Work is going to be one big 11- or 12-hour onerous task for me Friday, so gonna pass.

While today was a busy and productive day, I got almost none of the drawing I'd intended to do finished because 4 different people were bombarding me with surprise tasks every few minutes.

I think that counts as onerous, Matt! I hope you survive, and treat yourself to something nice this weekend.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm so proud of myself, I've been sorting and discarding 5+ years of bills and correspondence. When I'm finished, it will all be sorted into boxes labelled 2005, 2006, etcetera. Next step today is to Pay All The Bills.
