Hey, Hil (or other knowledgeable people), I have discovered a CD with some family tree work that an uncle did, so I'm poking around with it.
Is it possible that Vicher and Vicknair are the same name, just...changed or evolved?
Also, shrift, I found a *YourLastName* in my family tree, so I'm now convinced that we're related.
All I've found with FB is it gives my family another platform to not communicate.
Huh, looks like the original family name was German, Wichner, so it seems pretty likely to me that it could be either Vicher (a Frenchified version) or Vicknair (a more literal spelling based on the pronunciation).
Good friends of mine discovered they were distant cousins when they ran into each other at a big family reunion thing. They'd jokingly called each other Cousin Larry and Cousin Herb
before
this.
Shit. It looks like it'll take me 3.7 days to synchronize my Bitcoin wallet with my laptop running continuously.
This is really kind of amazing. I've discovered ancestors back to 1767 on one branch and 1700 on another.

If you synchronize your Bitcoin wallet, does that obligate you to sell once it's synced? IOW, it seems like syncing is a good idea anyway, so that at some point you could sell. Because even if the exchange rate drops in the short-term, if it goes back up and you haven't synced yet, you'll be back in this situation.
Might as well do it now.
Teppy: Yes. eta: Although I am not obligated to sell after syncing, your other points are valid.
Even if the price drops a lot, I'll still probably sell them, as the exchange rate is so volatile. Some investments are like gambling, and I don't feel like gambling with that much money.
Speaking of coins, I discovered a big can of 'wheat' pennies from my Mom that I thought were ordinary coins I could turn in at a Coinstar machine. Now I have to find somewhere near here where I can take them, because they're worth 3-4 cents each.
If you find any 1909 S VDB ones, can I have them?
eta: They're worth around $1000.
