I guess I'm red enough (auburn really). I never took the painkillers I was sent home with after oral surgery or foot surgery.

Cancer doesn't make someone a better person or absolve past sins. There has to be somewhere where you can say that this has been hard and this is the place.
Oh, Burrell. I'm so sorry for all of it, including the weariness and being done-ness. I'd say that must be the truly hard part, but damn it seems like there's nothing but hard parts. I'm just so sorry.
I just found out that the fact that it takes several round in-new-places novocaine isn't just me; my mom has it too. It isn't novocaine resistance, it works fine. It's just that we both have nerve layouts that don't agree with what they teach in school. In order to numb my upper inside gums, I will also lose my face up to the hairline. Mom too.
Thankfully, my experiences with dentists seem to be a helluva lot better than my mother's. Jesus, I want to go back in time and kill some of hers.
