We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Because books.

I'm so sorry, Burrell. I know all of it is hard. Belated birthday wishes, too.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I guess I'm red enough (auburn really). I never took the painkillers I was sent home with after oral surgery or foot surgery.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I wish you'd had a better birthday, Burrell.

Cancer doesn't make someone a better person or absolve past sins. There has to be somewhere where you can say that this has been hard and this is the place.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, Burrell. I'm so sorry for all of it, including the weariness and being done-ness. I'd say that must be the truly hard part, but damn it seems like there's nothing but hard parts. I'm just so sorry.

I just found out that the fact that it takes several round in-new-places novocaine isn't just me; my mom has it too. It isn't novocaine resistance, it works fine. It's just that we both have nerve layouts that don't agree with what they teach in school. In order to numb my upper inside gums, I will also lose my face up to the hairline. Mom too.

Thankfully, my experiences with dentists seem to be a helluva lot better than my mother's. Jesus, I want to go back in time and kill some of hers.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

One of my favorite Onion articles ever was about a dude who simply refused to be ennobled by cancer.

Oh, Burrell, I'm so sorry. {{hugs}}

Oh, damn. Burrell, it's ok. It's ok to complain, it's ok to hurt, it's ok to be tired, it's ok to be conflicted, it's ok to be goddamned mad, it's just ok. OK?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Belated Birthday Burrell and Calli.

Burrell, I am so sorry about how rough it's been lately. Please keep venting here when you need to.

Ginger is right.

Although given her phrasing, I now have a Talking Heads song running through my head.
