I have a lot of black bags, a semi-formal black one with white ribbon trim, a formal pewter one, a canvas Community bookbag, and when faced with the requirement to buy something that fit my tablet and stuff all safely and worked for work and casual, I said "fuck it--dare you to carry a red bag EVERY DAY no matter the rest of the outfit." I admit, I bought the identical one in black at the same time, but it's never been used. I even carry the red bag while wearing purple shoes and am almost entirely over that.

I just wear too many red dresses that were the wrong red for the bag. Any other color, I don't care.
And I have way more evening bags than my lifestyle supports.
I settled in with some ice cream to watch the Glee episode where
I watched that last night. I think they handled it well.

1/5 of my hanging space is taken up of dresses, most of them dressy. You want our wardrobes should mate and go have a life without us?
I got butt-dialed and it's all crackly British accent audio, and I need a CSI-magic program to enhance the file and work out why a guy is talking about having gone to an all-girl's school.

No! I would say we should get together and dress up, but I probably couldn't wear your clothes. You are welcome to borrow a bag, though! Shiny black, gold, silver, embroidered with flowers, snakeskin (maybe?)....oh, I think there's a little hot pink one, too.
I don't have any evening bags, or any Coach, but I have three red bags: a shiny patent red bag I got on sale at Macy's several years ago; a cotton messenger bag I picked up in a consignment shop this summer; and I just found a good-sized tote in red leather with a zipper across the top when I was in Wisconsin. It's really good quality and seems to come with a lifetime guarantee, so I didn't mind the price too much. I'd been looking for a red leather tote for a couple of years, so I'm really pleased.
This afternoon my house smells good: I roasted two bulbs of garlic for a potato-leek soup I'm making. Yum.
Ooh, snakeskin! Sounds like a plan--let's do drinks and stuff.
My pewter formal bag is Coach. It was bought with "you're a good puppy" reward points from Countrywide.
I have a lot of bags, but generally carry one or two for months and forget the rest.
Relatedly, I have gotten myself into a circumstance I really never anticipated. I officially have too many shoes. The past month or so every time I see really cute shoes, I squee and then realize they are just like some pair I already have. I think that pair I bought in Nola officially plugged the last gap and now I am in a state of perfect shoe equilibrium.

Me too. My goal is to empty my and every week and switch to another one but I rarely actually do that. I think I've managed it once this year. Maybe I should lower my frequency standards to something more achievable, like quarterly...
Whoa, shoe equilibrium, that sounds like it should feel good!
Well, shoe shopping's a lot less fun, I'll tell you what.
