A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I discovered that actively using The one crutch has been hurting me and wearing me out more than just walking unaided. So I shortened it to force myself to have it handy in case I step wrong and for stairs and slopes, but otherwise it's better to just walk.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am such a sucker! I just got voluntold to sell tickets at the church fair tomorrow. I didn't have any specific plans, and it's only an hour and a half in my neighborhood, but STILL.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's interesting that the bandage was contributing to a different sort of pain than not using it. I don't know about quantity exactly--I dislike both states, but they are markedly different. Interesting.

The new gawker software means that old posts get highlighted when new ones of a topic are posted, so people will comment and recommend posts you'd forgotten about. God, I say a lot of things.

A: My father had a math professor who named her son... wait for it... Euclid. I can't even.
me: I had a Comp Sci professor that named his daughter Pascal. It was kinda cute.
B: I have a friend who named her kid Pascal Darwin. Top that.
me: Uh, my father's name is Herschel Galileo.

I didn't mention my mother's middle name is Dolores Delrio, since that's getting into readily identifiable, but still. Never go up against a Jamaican when naming kids is on the line.

I'm not craving a smoke, but man am I easily irritated. Had to talk myself down at being pissed off at my parents again.

hwæt

Are you on TWC? Cablevision seems to be fine.

Level 3, an Internet backbone provider, is having a major outage in the Northeast. Cablevision is competent enough to route around the damage, TWC isn’t.

Victory! The bar cart is even better than it looked online, and I only got a couple of other things. Including another red purse, which I probably didn't need, but it was awesome and less than $25.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I dreamt that I was living in an abandoned high rise that was about to be demolished. All of my belongings (furniture and all) were there but I was trying to figure out what I needed to simply survive and cull it all down to a duffel bag/backpack.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I like that Jesse's life involves the phrase "another red purse." My life doesn't even have one, but Franny has a cute red clutch I could borrow if I ever needed it.

I am at the hospital with my sisters. The one is in the ICU. This is not the way I wanted to spend the day, but oh well. It is what it is.

Because books.

I'm so sorry, Burrell. Strength to you all.

"Voluntold" is my new favorite word.

Tumblr is up for me now in SE Pennsylvania, but it wasn't this morning.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sorry, Burrell.

Way to go, Jesse!
