I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sorry, Burrell.

Way to go, Jesse!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Thoughts are with you, Burrell.

Jesse, if you need a Target Buddy, let me know. That's when somebody goes with you to whisper in your ear "you don't really need that" at appropriate intervals.

BTW, what church fair is being held?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

"Vegas, baby!"

I agree!

Burrell, lots of 'ma for you and sisters.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It is what it is.

Acceptance is wise and mature, and it's probably much healthier for me to rail at reality on your behalf, so I will.

I have a red purse (dark red knapsack) and I just noticed that one of the straps was tearing off the back. The last iteration of this bag lasted a couple years--I'm sad at this after a few months. Hopefully this can be mended inconspicuously, but I'm not particularly hopeful.

For anyone who watches Blue Bloods and knows my prejudices, I amused myself by being startled that Leslie Hope did not play the Bebe Neuwirth character yesterday. Then again, she turned out not that antagonistic, and Leslie has quite the run of hard-bitten professional women who are just not nice people. Episode also had some of the worst continuity I've seen in a while, and I wasn't even paying that much attention--an instance where they insert a scene of a character removing their glasses when the last footage of them showed them removing their glasses--the second scene is only that, like it was introduced to be a fuckup/pad time. They also messed up with a couple hugging, flashing back to them standing apart and coming in for the hug again. Really felt off.

Sprouts had such a bad selection of...everything the other day that I ended up buying no-fat milk by mistake. I couldn't find "full fat" in any of the three brands I normally buy, and the colour coding is a lot easier to miss when it's a glass bottle and just the lid is green. Dammit. Upside/downside--if I do go out for milk I will try go to the store that has the chocolate covered blueberries, and they are still perfect.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I have a red Coach purse. It's vintage so it's not that fancy. But it does the job.

I spent $200 at the grocery store, which is a new first. I keep trying to stock up on juice/milks as bases for Grace's food. Damn, my kid eats a lot. I mean, not really, but still... she goes through 36 ounces of blended food which is super dense and then at least 3 meals by mouth. You'd think she'd be bigger.

Which leads me to wonder if we need to have a convo about human growth hormone shots for her. The thought of it is goddman miserable.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I settled in with some ice cream to watch the Glee episode where Finn dies.

Fortunately I finished the ice cream mostly before the crying started.

Huh. Of all my too many purses I have lying around I don't think any of them are red.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Theo, it's my parents' church in Harvard Sq. I'm not 100% sure what the deal is -- I don't think it's a craft fair?

I like that Jesse's life involves the phrase "another red purse."

I think my grandmother had one I was obsessed with -- or maybe she gave my mother one? Anyway, a couple of years ago, I bought a red purse that is great with my coat, but clashes with way too many of my clothes. And also I've come to love a cross-body. So this one is a different red, with a long strap. Oh! I guess it's this one, except a different red and not on clearance. Now I wonder if that is the same one, and I should order that one and return this if they are the same? HMMMMM. (Edit: closer examination shows a slightly different number from the tag, so I think I'm good.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The description on the Target site makes it sound ridiculously small, like it would hold a cellphone and maybe a small wallet.
