In other news, I'm currently editing a document where the author takes the humble semicolon on many brave new adventures. I'm almost sad to correct it, as so few people even try to use the semicolon any more, much less in place of m-dashes, full colons, and occasionally commas. Still, it will be best honored in the breach than in the observance. At least, I'm not gonna let anyone observe them there.

However, if I'm reading this right, they're saying that the average time for almost every species is 21 seconds.
That is what they are saying.
It is probably worth noting that this is not a peer-reviewed paper, it is two pages long, and it has no methods or data analyses. I think it is probably a prank.
It's been a while since I studied rats as subjects, but I don't recall them peeing for 21 seconds. And if even smaller small mammals are pausing for 21 seconds to void .5ml of urine, there should be some pressures of natural selection to improve on that.
Does anyone know anything about how Target carries non-designer things seasonally? Specifically, I want this, which is new this fall. Can I wait a few months, or should I jump on it?
