Felicia Day's hair is very cute! I feel vindicated in my short-hair-havingness.
I've given up on covering the gray. Or the grey. Fuck the assholes who don't want to hire me for being old: I look so.much.better. with the grey.
Revised my resume again and sent it off to the recruiter with a straitforward discussion of how I could be awesome for that job. Guess we'll see. I just hope it isn't in San Ramon, or something: I haven't had to drive to work since 1996.
Is "wake up and smell the roses" a thing people say?
Your grey is gorgeous, Consuela, whatever vowel you use to spell it. Good luck with the recruiter.
Stop and smell the coffee.
I thought it was stop and smell the roses.
I thought that was what Juliebird was conveying.
That's what I thought, too. There's a Glade commercial that's confusing me. Doesn't exactly have the same meaning, does it?
I think "Wake up and smell the roses" could be intended to mean, "Your house will smell awesome from the minute you wake up, and all goddamn day long." But it's still kind of dumb.
Stop and smell the roses, wake up and smell the coffee. Easy to smash them together.

I stand with you on this, Conseula. I don't think I look better, but I'm sick of the allergic reactions to the dye, and how dry and frizzy it makes my hair. And my gray is pretty, as it turns out; it's silvery.
I have rather nice grey, and some odd blonde streaks. I'm OK with that.
edit: I'm not OK with the thinning, but I'm too lazy to do anything about that. Though I have changed the part in my hair. Yes, I'm doing a combover.

But the whole thing is "People don't say wake up and [other sensory verbs] the roses, they say wake up and smell the roses". Probably some other stuff after that but I was too distracted by the wrongness. It's bothering me. Don Draper wouldn't sign off on that. I hope.
Not that I've ever bought any Glade product. I might if they made something that really truly smelled like brewing coffee, because I do like to stop and smell the coffee, as it happens.
Yay for pretty gray hair! I don't have much yet, but the strands I have are kind of sparkly, which pleases me greatly.
