Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My Paleo friend uses - I think - pureed cauliflower for thickening.

I don't go out braless because they're just too big. I rarely wear makeup at all anymore, and I have an assortment of hats and wide headbands for bad hair days/days I didn't feel like washing it. Buff headbands are great for covering the gray roots. I draw the line at wearing pajamas to the store, but sweats and yoga pants are fine.

I bailed on the movie group tonight. I'm still coughing and gross. At least tonight they're showing Magic and Chucky, so I'm not missing movies I would've really liked to see.

Speaking of movie group, did you all know Jack Daniels has a vanilla flavor whiskey?

Vanilla flavored whiskey?? Really? Strange. I wouldn't think whiskey drinkers would be into that. Or is the plan to attract new ones? I guess there is Fireball, which is popular...

For me the issue tends to be less a clothing problem (I don't normally leave the house in yoga pants, but will if I feel super lazy), and more a "but I have to put on SHOES?" problem. Less an issue in summer when there can be flip flops.

Because books.

Ooh, Magic, the one with the puppet? The commercials for that scared the shit out of me as a kid. I don't think I've ever seen it, though.

I only go out braless in a big sweatshirt or with a jacket on. And then I'm self-conscious the whole time anyway.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Took my folks to American University museum to see an exhibit of contemporary Israeli art. It was...interesting.

On the way there an SUV didn't see our car and scraped up the side. No one was hurt, and the car runs fine, but still more excitement than we'd like.

Yep. Living-doll horror is not my cuppa!

Vanilla flavored whiskey?? Really?

Yep. That is my cuppa. Goes really well with Vanilla Coke!

Magic 8-Ball was right. I remain slothful.

just sold like 20 CDs on ebay. woot! they are all without cases, so I was unsure if they would sell. few bucks here, few bucks there, little less clutter in my home.

These CDs are step one in emptying out a 2 drawer IKEA storage thing that I want to get rid of. Must empty the furniture to sell the furniture.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Kuzu root starch is a good thickener. (It's also good for upset tummies once you have it around the house, fwiw). I'm trying to find its glycemic deets now.

Oh, hey, I forgot to report that I finally got rid of the old doghouse. A guy from Freecycle came and got it for his rescue dog. Aww. Happy doggie, and one less thing in my domain.
