Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, you know that's a thing you can actually do, right?

Yeah, it's just, I have to do some major cleaning-up before anyone can come clean! And since I have to do that, I might as well do the cleaning at the same time. The put-away-clutter part is the hard part.

I just about convinced myself to hire the cleaning service again. I was, I'm a grown-up! Darn it, I can clean my own house! I'll save the money! And then...I don't.

I hire someone to cook for me (by going to restaurants), and mow my lawn, and fix my car, and sometimes to shop for me. So why is such a big deal to me, to hire someone to clean? It really shouldn't be.

Punishingly Intricate

Ugh. Internet reporting shooting at the high school where my friend teaches. Nothing confirmed yet so, who knows, but it's scary. And, even if nothing happened, it's so distracting for the students.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah. I mean, I've never hired anyone to clean for me, but that's mostly because the reason I don't clean more is that I don't care. So why would I spend the money? When I can't deal with the bathroom anymore, I can get it respectable in 15 minutes.

Eek, lisah! I hope it is all OK.

You guys, the reason I hate being at work on Friday afternoons is that I can't wait to get home and watch TV. So many shows to catch up on!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Aaaaarrrggghhhhh. We need a new well.

Wait, what? What happens to wells to necessitate replacement?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Wait, what? What happens to wells to necessitate replacement?

There are different types of wells. Our residential point well is a 1 1/4 in. sand point that was drilled 35 feet down. They install a screen at the bottom to keep out impurities from the ground. Over time, mineral deposits build up and the well stops performing at capacity. Add to that, natural fluctuations in the water table, aging of the pumps and you get the need for a new well.

Now we have to get estimates, depending on whether we want a drilled well (larger in diameter) or another point well. Still, going to be $5-8K.

hip deep in pie

I am the only one on my floor besides my boss today, since it's the Friday before Thanksgiving. I am bored out of my mind and I want to go home!

not your mom's socks.

We are halfway to our destination. Our destination where we were supposed to be yesterday night. We will get there about 7:30pm tonight.

Good news! Monday's return tickets that were erased by the gate attendant yesterday when he rebooked us have been restored and we can do this again soon.

My boss popped into my office with and hour and fifteen minutes left to go in the day to say I could sneak out! And then someone emailed me with an urgent question that has to be answered. But I will get out a little early at least.
