Can I just survive on ibuprofen, cuz I've never had Percocet and I've never liked the heavy hitting drugs, don't want bother dealing with the pharmacy and end up not using them anyway.
Get the Percocet in case you need it. If you end up not using them you can share.
Wow, that last step to my apartment is a doozy, and it's right where the railing ends because it breaks off to the patio there. Even putting the groceries away had my thigh burning. This . . . is already sucking. And the cats are terrified of the crutches.
Break now, second grocery bag later.
Now, I'm a hypocrite in that I would never ask my neighbor to bring my bags up for me, but, he didn't even offer!
If you end up not using them you can share.
Heh.
I need to remember to grab my purse from the car to tote stuff in. Am now in pocketless pants . . . and, oh shoot, how am I going to carry my meals over to the couch? Park a chair in front of the stove/microwave and just eat there?
Sucking some more.
Oh, ouch, Julie!

When I was on crutches for nine weeks, I got myself a walker from Craigslist and attached a bicycle basket to the front of it. Can't carry a plate of food, but you can carry, say, a bowl of cereal and a small carton of milk. Also good for all the other stuff one has to carry around. A rolling walker - one with wheels - might even be better, because it moves more smoothly.
Hmm, I have a chance to go see Rio's hubby speak at the Orpheum in Memphis tonight, but I think thrift (and sloth, for not making the 3-hour round trip drive) is going to win out instead.
May your ankle heal swiftly, Juliebird.

It is a good picture of exactly what makes me sad for people so bound in hate and fear. Very sad.

A rolling walker with a seat is FANTASTIC for many things. It comes in hand when you're at the point of getting better that you can do stuff but you'll tire quickly and could need a seat at any time.
Well, I didn't see any art that I needed, but I got three bottles of wine and rather a lot of chocolate (Lee {and possibly interested others, but Lee is who came to mind} I have a box of truffles formulated to be paired with whiskey and cheese, we should probably evaluate how good a job they did at some point). And bacon flavored marshmallows because, really, how could I pass that up? Especially after they remembered me at the booth (hot pink jacket probably helped with that, but still). And soap, which I bought before I'd even gotten far into the wine tasting because I have been wanting autumnally scented soaps (currently washing myself with mint which is excellent for summer, but looking forward to switching over to pumpkin soon! And then hot buttered rum for winter should be awesome).
8 1-oz pours even with a heavy hand ought to be about two glasses of wine. I am a cheap date, my friends. Lit up.
Quick healing, Juliebird!
Sounds like an excellent event, -t.
