'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's so cool!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That was fast, you don't usually get fruit the first year, I don't think.

I thought so too! I may pull some of them off because I'm not sure the tree can support them yet but it was still cool to see.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Yay for lemons!

ION, I have settled on a name for new kitty:

Finnbar Fancypants McGee, aka "Finn"

I couldn't not add "McGee."

Same goes for Fancypants.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

MUCH BETTER PIE.

Dodgy on the low glycemic thing--next pie might be non-wheat, or it'll be the one for work, but the changes in the filling and pastry were both marked improvements.

That's great for your cousin, Hil! Has she been keen to act for a while? I'm always impressed with people who know those things that young.

My NOLA cousin is moving out to LA again, apparently. She accelerated her BA to move to NY for her film career, which didn't make sense to me, but she will be back here for same soon. Which is great! I do have family out here, but not family family, the sort I used to live with or anything.

I'm impressed by Hil's mad geneology skills!

I went to see "Baggage Claim"--it was very standard and predictable. Which I didn't mind for 75% of the movie but I kinda hated all of the ending for being ridiculous. Not sure why I would expect otherwise but whatever. The exciting part was the previews--the Mandela one made me tear up (I might be a bit overly sensitive these days) and I found out there's going to be a sequel to "The Best Man", which I am stoked about. I love that movie.
