There are entirely too many people named Ephraim Hixson in my tree for my peace of mind, especially since they all seem to have married a Margaret at least once. You don't need to be at the bottom to be on the show, just unsigned. A while ago, there was a woman whose video was inescapable (I thought) on VH1 a year earlier, but got dropped by her label. She didn't make it far on the show, either.
