Welcome to investigating genealogy bounded by forced relocation and illiteracy. There's a bit of a wall there.
My maternal grandma is famed for her six kids spaced by five years each, where the youngest girl (she went boy-girl three times) thought the oldest was her mother (and I guess my mother just didn't say anything? Everyone is called by their names, so...) until a pretty traumatic revelation. If Aunt A had been Aunt G's daughter it would have been absolutely no thing. The thing was the 12 year old that quit school to stay with G and help raise A (I can see where Miss Mac was way over that stuff at this point). But then everyone got very used to that, and she lived with our family until she died of old age five or so years ago. And her daughter raised A's kids, and is now raising the kids of my third cousin.
