Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Things always take longer. Especially on a Friday.

Thanks, brenda ( edit: and Jesse!). I should have known not to rely on it when the interviewer said he thought he could let me know by Friday. If nothing else, I know he's new to the school, so he may just not know all the steps that have to be taken before they can make a formal offer. So, okay. I live in hope!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

-t (however it is pronounced) has an awesome haircut.

This week is finally over.

My shoes today made me happy. [link]

I'd like to have more, but I really don't.

Those are very cute Lee.

I need to get some new work/walking shoes. If these Salt Lake trips are going to be regular (as they seem), I need more comfy shoes for walking from the hotel to the office and back. My flat gave me major blisters and I know my heels would be worse. Might be time to invest in some Danskos.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Those are happy-making shoes!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

For people who enjoy ASH and Karen Gillan and simultaneous Downtown/Sherlock/Oliver! parodies, I can't recommend the most recent NTSF:SD:SUV:: enough.

I live in Danskos, Suzi. Highly recommended!

The prices scare me though, Kate. It just doesn't make any sense to rent a car when I go to SLC. The light rail takes me from the airport to a block from work and a block from the hotel and there are lots of restaurants in between. My normal walking shoes don't work with business attire, so I need to upgrade.

It is funny though, the project I work on would pay for a rental car each trip. And the cost for one visit would likely be the cost of a pair of Danskos.

The prices are high, but the shoes are definitely good value -- I wear mine day in, day out, and they hold up very well. (I also don't buy a lot of shoes, so I don't mind paying more for a decent pair when I need them.) I bought one pair in 2003 or 2004, and they lasted until my honeymoon in 2011 -- and even then, the only reason I had to dump them was that they had been so thoroughly damp for so long that they were starting to get moldy. Bought a replacement pair last year and I love them; like I said, I barely wear any other shoes. They're comfy, durable, and cute, and well worth the money I paid for them.
