"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My parents call one of their internists "Doogie" because he's younger than I am, let alone them.

I'll confess I feel a little better when my regular (50something) dentist sees to me rather than his partner that was a friendly acquaintance of mine in high school, but that may be residual grumpiness over him not explaining to me why my top 2 wisdom teeth needed extraction. (The oral surgeon did, and it made good sense, but I like all my medical professionals to explain the rationale of procedures to me beforehand.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

For Halloween this year, Dylan has decided he wants to dress up as The Atom. There are NO red child's tights or leggings anywhere on the internet. I've checked all the usual kids' clothing sites, dancewear, wrestling uniforms, etc. Anyone have any clever ideas?

I did find one pair of red leggings on discountdance.com but they are one-size-fits-all, do not indicate if they are for adults or children, and all of the reviews say they fell apart instantly.

There was a Katarzyna on Top Model one season! And no one there could pronounce her name, either.

Omg I was wondering why I thought I could pronounce that name. Now I'm embarrassed.

We've got a team from Oracle here observing us (I don't know why) and they brought us really good goodies. Yay, pirates.

Librarian Warlord

She's an expert in carbon fiber, wings, and foils. And today, her team won a pretty big race. I'm so unbelievably proud of her. And I just needed to say it somewhere that wouldn't get her in trouble at work.

I was about to type something along the lines of "tell her I said . . ." and then I realized I can just tell her how awesome she is myself. I have the power, and the email address to do so.
