We are on attempt FIVE to get the boxes and packing paper picked up from our house. They were supposed to be here 7 minutes ago.

Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh, dear. I'm reading the police blotter. Someone called the police because there was shouting in a neighbor's house. The police arrived, and found a woman who "appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance." Her name? Crystal Methany. [link]
The poor thing didn't have a chance.
I really thought that might be a joke, but I searched the white pages, and there is a Crystal Metheny who lives in that town.
java,
I know more about Russell Brand than I should! My pleasure. :-)
Box pickup report:
"Uh, yeah, I'm still coming back from the southeast, so...I don't know."
Today, for the second time:
- my work laptop hard drive pre-failed
- someone used my main gmail address as their email address for a FB account
- someone used my main gmail address as their backup address for a gmail account
WHAT THE FUCK, WORLD?
I still don't have a work laptop, and committed to some work docs nonetheless that I'm not even kicked off on (oops, will do before EOD), and I have locked other me out of the FB account so I could post on the wall.
Gmail other me, I just dissociated the email addresses. But why are people doing that so often? Is there a scam behind this?
My husband's gmail account gets bill pay notifications for some credit union account. As far as I can tell, no compromising information is being sent, but I've already called the credit union once. Have the emails stopped? No.
I think I've got a little worlds colliding, barely, thing going on again. I think shrift's move is what is also causing my neighbor's design firm location in Chicago to relocate (and thus meaning that their showroom in DC won't move until spring.)
Also, my first floor floors are clean. And work did NOT go as planned. As of 7 pm, the system has 'misplaced' all data prior to 7 years ago. It's there, we can find it, the code just can't. And it is something that *can't* be tested for due to lack of resources. Same song & dance.
Tomorrow shall be interesting.
My day today: Run to the grocery store to get milk before picking up Charlie at 8:30; lots of playtime with Charlie; catch up on some TV, long nap, hammock time, more TV and more playtime with the animals, and soon, pizza and wine.
Tomorrow is going to be more of the same, too, but plus cake.
