'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I woke up inappropriately early (5-ish), sat at the computer for an hour but wisely refrained from caffeine, then decided to try laying flat on the bed for a while... and boom out like a light, dreaming even. I guess I needed those extra 5-ish hours....

Mmm, extra sleep. I broke my diet to have a slice of congratulatory cake last night, and the sugar rush hit my system like crystal meth. Awake until 2, up like a shot at 5:15, and now I'm debating whether to catch a nap or just power through and turn in early after watching Hugh Jackman be deadly and shirtless this afternoon.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You don't want to fall asleep in the movie, is my concern on that decision.

Gah, I have more one than one day's worth of stuff that should be done today. Hopefully the stuff that absolutely must get done today will be doable. I'm not entirely confident about that at the moment.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Wow Matt. One slice of cake did all that?

Probably the excitement from seeing bunches of old friends contributed too, but it's the first sugar I've had in two months that wasn't in the form of small servings of berries or grapes.

Scratch the moviegoing plans, I just got an invite to hang out at the pool of the couple I had a ménage à trois with early last year. Hugh will just have to wait.

I'm sure Hugh would understand, being the gracious gentleman he is.

He's welcome to show up if he feels left out; I'm sure my hosts wouldn't object.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How is before nine acceptable on a Sunday morning when you said nine? Sometimes the impact of being early is heightened. I was half-dressed, so I asked her to wait, but seriously. Wait in your car until nine, and then ring the bell.

I am so impressed with so many of y'all here who lead FAR more interesting lives than I do.

LeN, give me fifteen minutes and some creative liberties, and I can have one of these set up for you.

Note I didn't ask for standards. Please don't give me any of those. Complicates *everything*.
