Steph, I would need the help of someone taller than me to ease the dress over my hair.
I, uh, am too body conscious to let anyone help. My mother is bone thin and always has been, and my size has always been a point of contention between us, and I will be damned if I stress myself more on my wedding day by letting her see my in my bra and undies. I just can't do it.
So I'm putting the dress on by myself in the large bathroom of the B&B's bedroom, for the sake of my sanity.
Tep, can you have a friend your size to help? (btw, I empathize. same stuff going on for me, with less volume to the contention).
I would think a scarf would help the hair, at least preventing it from being caught in things. Some sort of very chic, loose turban thing.

I was thinking just sort of draping it over my hair loosely -- like this, very loose and not wrapped around my neck: [link]
hairnet?
Maybe ask your hairdresser for advice?

Oh, DUH. I honestly didn't even think of that. I lack common sense in SUCH a big way, I tell you what.
or you can use a big bonnet? they have hair bonnets, particularly for people who sleep in big rollers. you can get those at the dollar store.
30 MOR MINUTES AND THEN I CAN GO HOME AND DRINK THE BEERS!!!! Is anyone up for some sort of community something tonight? a watch and post of something or a real-time game playing of something. I do not even know, but I am craving community.
I'm currently meeting a friend for beers, and am so not into it! Am craving the quiet.
We are watching Fellowship of the Ring, if anyone wants to throw theirs in and watch, too. Except we have to go take Dillo to a birthday party at 6:45. At one of those horrible party places at Newport on the Levee. Maybe I will make mr. flea do it.
