Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I don't really like canned beets. I love fresh ones. Best are the vacuum sealed ones from Trader Joe's. already roasted and peeled but I don't get so stained.

Puppycat wants to be plastered next to me. It's so hot and humid. How can she stand it? I'm letting her because I am about to traumatise her with strangers who are staying the night. Strangers to her. I know them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just got a call from someone wanting me to take a survey, which, Saturday night at 9? Whatever. But the first question was do I work for a newspaper, radio or tv station, and I realized I had to say yes! So I didn't get/have to do the survey.

ION, I'm watching some X-Men movie on TV, and why doesn't Jean Grey have a superhero name?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So Dita's good with Charlie now? Or goodish?

Mostly. There's a lot of pointed ignoring going on, but at least she is willing to be in the same room.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

why doesn't Jean Grey have a superhero name?

She does in the comics. But when you're choosing between Marvel Girl, Phoenix, and Dark Phoenix (neither of which she's totally earned yet), maybe Jean is fine.

Ah, OK.

That's good enough! eta: on Charlie and Dita, I am agnostic on superhero names.

A cloud of Loki fur just drifted into the kitchen. Good thing I didn't get around to the cleaning today. Ran errands and bought a ton of catfood since it is easier to just buy flats of the stuff every month, rather than have to go to Petco every week. They like the Sheba, and I like the Sheba, which I can only get there. Though I'm trying the cheaper store brand, since the ingredient list is virtually identical (and cheaper.)

Who really cares about my catfood, whatever.

TJs was shockingly unbusy at 6:30 on a saturday.

I care about your cat food! OK, not really, but when has that ever stopped any of us?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I do kind of care about your cat food in that I don't have my own cat food buying routine entirely decided and knowing what other people are doing gives me more to think about.

Cats ignoring but tolerating dogs is about as good as you can hope for. I mean, sometimes you get more, but hoping for more is a mug's game.

There is a reason "dogs and cats living together!" is an expression, after all....
