I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

That's some good training there, brenda. (which apparently after writing about Louisiana Craft Brewer Week I wanted to spell as "brewnda")

Speaking of the aforementioned article I am working on, I am about to drag poor Scola out to make him take pictures of various local beer related stuff for me to submit with the article. Putting him to work!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Make him drink beer too. That'll show 'im.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why do my feet get stinky when I'm only wearing sandals? On days like today I wish I had my car.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I have a whole THING about Kingsolver. I really loved her early Arizona/NM books. It's gone downhill since then. I did not like Poisonwood Bible. I hated Animal Vegetable Mineral. Lacuna was annoying as shit. And the most recent was meh. Why do I keep reading her work? Because I loved Animal Dreams so much.

I love both the early books and, in a different way, Poisonwood Bible, which was the first book to really open up Africa to me. But the later ones have been really uneven. I liked The Lacuna OK, but Flight Behavior really grated on me, and I remember I didn't like Prodigal Summer all that much either. I will say, though, that Flight Behavior has really freaked me out but good about climate change, which is really what she's going for, I think, so... good for her?

SCOLA IN NOLA

So jealous! Have a fabulous time!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Puppies!!! I remember loving the video of the grown shiba inu (Kimiko) watching the puppies on the computer and being so confused.

I also remember liking The Poisonwood Bible, but I don't remember what happend or what it was about.
