Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Puppies!!! I remember loving the video of the grown shiba inu (Kimiko) watching the puppies on the computer and being so confused.

I also remember liking The Poisonwood Bible, but I don't remember what happend or what it was about.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I will say, though, that Flight Behavior has really freaked me out but good about climate change, which is really what she's going for, I think, so... good for her?

Right? It was such a polemic (?), but definitely effective. It didn't help that it rained the whole week I was reading it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

"Anything you say will be used against you in a court of law" when they are supposed to mean "anything you say can/may be used against you in a court of law".

That's like the safety warnings on equipment that say "Death or injury will occur" instead of "may occur". My impression is that TV is about 50/50 on the Miranda rights, but I don't watch a lot of procedurals.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

May favorite is "Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how [Drug X] will affect you!"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And....everything is on fire this morning.

Last week is "provide weeklong support as we usher ~1000 new users onto our workstation". This weekend is "do the developer part of a task you've never done this before". Yesterday is "Did you fuck up being a developer? Where are those files?" Last night is "ignore the ringing phone". This morning is "WHY IS IT DOWN????????"

Absolutely zero of this is my normal job, which has its own cataclysmic stresses. Oh, boy, ever. And zero of it is my fault (so far--I'm running through ways why this failure could be on me...). But tell my blood pressure that!
