A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Today was a pretty good day - I drove to Little Rock and spent much of the afternoon at the Arkansas Arts Center looking at a bunch of Gainsborough paintings, a Frans Hals, a Turner, and a number of Rembrandts including this beauty, saw about 2/3 of Much Ado About Nothing (the projector bulb exploded just as the film started, and by the third breakdown I'd had enough and asked for a voucher, but it was OK as the movie was mainly a timekiller), and then had a wonderful meal here that included the only really good saganaki I've had in the last 9 years.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm in Stowe VT, accompanying my friend to her timeshare for the week. Bucolic as hell, and the rain seems to be giving way to patches of blue in the cloudy sky. Life is sucking a little less at the moment.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Stripping wallpaper.

Bucolic as hell

I picture Hell as more Corbusier urban modern than bucolic.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There's an Australia one with a Scottish woman who wants to be a model -- and is trying to pose seductively in every single shot. It's bananas. That one?

No, but that sounds amazing.

Ooh, that sounds lovely, Theo. Yay vacation!

I had a good sleep last night, and may not leave the house today, even though it is lovely outside.

The pot of tea I had isn’t working. I drank it, but my apartment is still filthy, and I’m still not packed.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Definitely defective tea.

I don't understand my sleep patterns - yesterday I woke up at 4 am, not in an insomniac way, just like I had slept enough and, hey, why not get up and start the day? Of course, by evening I felt like I had been awake forever, so I went to bed early and dropped off to sleep quickly.

This morning I "slept in" until after 6 but still feel tired and groggy. I don't get it.

Enjoy VT, Theo, that sounds great!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The pot of tea I had isn’t working. I drank it, but my apartment is still filthy, and I’m still not packed.

My apartment is pet sitter clean (less clean than relatives visiting, more clean than every day), and I am packed and almost ready to go, which is good, since I have to leave in less than an hour.

Less than a week to Scola! Wheeeee

That's a terrible pot of tea, Tom. Tell it you expect better.

-t, perhaps you and I are on some sort of sleep-sharing plan. Yesterday night I slept for 12 hours, didn't get up until 11:30AM. Still felt kinda crappy. Last night I decided to do a 5k this morning, set my alarm, was unsure whether I'd still be wanting to do it when that went off. Instead, I woke up at 6:30AM (45 minutes before the alarm!) and decided I was awake enough to get up and get going and make a real breakfast (poached egg with toast). This is very bizarre for me.
