Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm glad the funeral and the reading went well, Jesse.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Boobs are weird, man.

So complicated.

Oh, heavy rain in the desert. Such a glorious thing. It smells good, it isn't muggy afterwards, it generally drains out of the way quickly. So very, very blissful.

The dry is a lie. Possibly because we've been storming for days and days. Humidity is somewhere over 70% here. And I am following the "local" NWS on Twitter. They are surprisingly good at localizing considering it's NWS Vegas.

Is anyone else watching House Hunters right now? This woman looks like a Kristen Wiig character.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had never seen the term "patio dress" before yesterday. Oddly, the ones listed here [link] as maxi dresses are generally longer and prettier, but they're supposedly synonyms.

*I* think the dress I'm wearing today is a maxi dress nonetheless. These are my favourite hot weather wear, and I keep forgetting that. Especially the spaghetti strap ones, and silk is always nice. But since I keep tearing mine (just found a rip in this too), maybe I don't deserve nice things...

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It appears that I will be accompanying one of the individuals I support to a special Mass for people with disabilities tomorrow. She is Catholic, I am not. Am I remembering correctly that I can accompany her in the line to receive the Eucharist, and make a gesture of placing my hands over my mouth rather than holding them out to receive the bread? That way I can gracefully stick with her without violating Catholic church rules?

I've always used a different hand signal. Crossed or something. But, yes, you can. Absolutely. Maybe Google the signal or ask ahead. When my uncle does it, I get a blessing instead of the Eucharist.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

According to the internet (which really does seem to know everything), you cross your arms across your chest.

However, if you're clearly assisting someone, I'm not sure that gesture would be necessary.

Oh, hey, I remembered Catholic stuff correctly!

I wonder if patio dress means it's not technically an outside dress. Because they're listed under lingerie. Though some of those look outside.
