Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I was wishing I was there with my pickup and my cordless screwdriver.
Hmm, what is the anti-inflammation diet, ita? I'm guessing I'd need to cut out too many foods, but I am curious. The candida diet (er, anti-candida that is) has had both short and long term benefits.
I am sitting here feeling all accomplished because I: 1) enrolled the kids in camp for next week, 2) switched my Rx, 3) dealt with AT&T twice (hate them) to set up a repair visit to fix the land line, 4) took care of the mortgage payment, and 5) snuck in some writing. And okay, lots of little tasks done, but honestly I think I'm setting a fairly low bar for adult-like behavior.
Oh and also? Because wine.
Would it be annoying/useless/dumb work for you if I tagged stuff #goodstuffhappened sometimes?
That works -- I will track the tag and hope for the best.
ION, fuck. I clogged up my kitchen sink and forgot about it, because it drained down eventually. So now I'm running the dishwasher and the sink fills up and starts overflowing. I imagine the clog is down in the pipe, since I can't feel anything wrong in the disposal, and it's running fine, just not draining. Yet another downside to the CSA! So I've emptied a bunch of water out of the sink, and then what? Actually try to take apart the pipes? That freaks me out. Would baking soda and vinegar even help?
I can't plunge because the drain opening is too big for the plunger to get any purchase.
I'd give baking soda and vinegar a try. Might help, and it's pretty low effort to find out.
Ugh Jesse, I wish I had some helpful advice for you.

Yeah, true. I will....assuming the water drains out.
Thank goodness I was home! I often start the dishwasher on my way out the door because it's so loud.

Not since I stopped krav, no.
Tools I got. I just despise putting together furniture. My laziness exceeds my station.
I guess BMWs don't need to fold seats forwards? I could fit a surfboard in the Jetta that way. Bad Beemer! Bad!

It's this [link] but I'm not doing all that--my main focus is low glycemic index, and a large increase in fresh fruit. There's been a bump in vegetables too, but not to normal people levels or anything.
From looking at that list, I think my next step is to increase oily fish. I probably dropped five pounds which isn't much of anything, but my ankles would swell randomly a lot, and they've been less swollen than I've been able to manage *with* diuretics. It totally wasn't a goal of the switch, but I'm impressed, since no doctors had any idea what was going on or what to do about it other than treat the symptom.
I haven't had a hard time following it, although I'm sure tending to other people would drive me nuts. And I fully intend to break it at Christmas, but I get J'can food once a year. I'm fucking eating all the plantain tarts I can fit in my stomach. My appetite has shifted in response, which has helped make it not a problem--as long as all the food I'm going to grab is whole grain and not sweetened with high glycemic sugars, a lot of the work is already done.
As far as the main goal, pain management--I don't know? I am going to try and start keeping a detailed headache log, but the best I suspect is that the base level might have decreased a bit, but I still get the same amount and intensity of bad episodes.
Thanks ita. That's not too far from how I try to eat, but I eat higher protein and lower soy than he recommends. And the coffee, because "because coffee" is even more relevant to my life than "because wine."
