Don't your have any friends with pickup trucks, ita?
Not since I stopped krav, no.
Tools I got. I just despise putting together furniture. My laziness exceeds my station.
I guess BMWs don't need to fold seats forwards? I could fit a surfboard in the Jetta that way. Bad Beemer! Bad!
Hmm, what is the anti-inflammation diet, ita?
It's this [link] but I'm not doing all that--my main focus is low glycemic index, and a large increase in fresh fruit. There's been a bump in vegetables too, but not to normal people levels or anything.
From looking at that list, I think my next step is to increase oily fish. I probably dropped five pounds which isn't much of anything, but my ankles would swell randomly a lot, and they've been less swollen than I've been able to manage *with* diuretics. It totally wasn't a goal of the switch, but I'm impressed, since no doctors had any idea what was going on or what to do about it other than treat the symptom.
I haven't had a hard time following it, although I'm sure tending to other people would drive me nuts. And I fully intend to break it at Christmas, but I get J'can food once a year. I'm fucking eating all the plantain tarts I can fit in my stomach. My appetite has shifted in response, which has helped make it not a problem--as long as all the food I'm going to grab is whole grain and not sweetened with high glycemic sugars, a lot of the work is already done.
As far as the main goal, pain management--I don't know? I am going to try and start keeping a detailed headache log, but the best I suspect is that the base level might have decreased a bit, but I still get the same amount and intensity of bad episodes.
Thanks ita. That's not too far from how I try to eat, but I eat higher protein and lower soy than he recommends. And the coffee, because "because coffee" is even more relevant to my life than "because wine."
got a friend coming for the weekend. he's coming tomorrow and we have to get the spare room ready and clean!
YIKES
ita, we have plastic adirondack chairs that we got at Lowes for less than $15 I think. If that helps you.
And the coffee, because "because coffee" is even more relevant to my life than "because wine."
I score 100% on the tea point, down to the being picky and OCD about brew time, etc. Go team whatever the hell that means.
Okay, FUCK. Go home, idiot girl.
But first you guys have to know how cool my tights are. Because argyle is cool, and pink is cool. And boots. Like so: [link]
Dammit--my mobile devices are set up to upload pics into the same dropbox folder whenever I take them, and I wanted to try and mimic that functionality with automatic uploading from a SIM card onto my Mac, and somehow I have now infinite looped image copies so they breed every time I snap a shot. NOTE TO SELF: STOP BEING STUPID.
ISTG -- I keep sticking my hand in the sink to see if the water is still there....and then turning the water on to wash my hands! THAT IS WHY IT IS STILL THERE.
Those tights are very cool.
Very nice tights.
I always do that washing my hands thing with stopped up sinks. It fills me with chagrin every time but it seems inevitable.
Oooh, good tights!
quietly sobs because I miss wearing tights. And jackets. And velvet. Stupid heatwave. Stupid summer weather. BRING ON AUTUMN.
Got a new boss, she starts in September.
Had a farewell dinner for old boss lady at the local hotel. For all her crazyness and making me want to cry or commit homicide on various ocassions, I'm really gonna miss her. Who else will sing "Not in Nottingham" with me?! Will new boss be genre-savvy?! Will she get my DW mug or my TARDIS USB port that makes really annoying sounds when you plug in? Will she query me relentlessly as she mainlines the modern BSG and is all WTF?! the next day "Julie tell me WHY?!!" when she hits the final season?
It was quite amusing watching her turn into a total slacker her last two weeks. We spent one morning discussing The Avengers for an hour. She was clocking out at exactly eight hours instead of ten or twelve. Leaving messes about because she just couldn't be bothered. My standards, really.
