Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

Because books.

I work at home, so that's not really an option. I did ask her to "bear with me" later in the same email exchange, though.

Because books.

If any Bay Area people are looking for a publishing job, Harper needs an admin in their SF office.

Matt, you are evil.

I believe you mean, "Matt, your evil!"

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

omg TODAY.

eye dr. appt this morning ran 45 minutes late. making me 1 hour late for work. As soon as I realized I would be late, I emailed everyone in the office. I did not email my boss as he is in NE. Apparently I am to email him first, so I am in his bad graces.

Then I wrote down an order for tomorrow on today's date on our weekly schedule, so trucks and equipment at the wrong site and angry contractor. UGH. my mistake, clear as day.

I also had forgotten about getting mac to school on time since I had a dr. appt (I actually thought that the appt might only be 30 min long, but no), so had to last minute call my parents and have them get him from the dr. office and to school.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Kat and Lee, I am both so sorry.

If any Bay Area people are looking for a publishing job, Harper needs an admin in their SF office.

Not looking so much, but I wonder what the compensation is for that?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I did ask her to "bear with me" later in the same email exchange, though.

Attagirl!

I just realised I left home without checking email. Hnnrgh. I left home because I am punishing myself, not because there is any good reason for me to be in the office, but still.

Because books.

For that position, I would say ... $30K? Publishing is usually underpaid. I could be way off, though.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Sue, if you want to give the Feliway a try, I have some. My mother bought it to help with driving my sister's cat to New Brunswick, and it's still mostly full.

hip deep in pie

Sue, If there is one thing I have learned from watching "My Cat From Hell" it's that when a cat is under territorial stress, there are some steps that can be taken that are even more effective than medication. Here is a cat deterrent for Little Cat Hitler [link] It's a water sprinkler on a motion detector. It is a bit on the spendy side but it is actually slightly less than my veterinarian charges for an office call. At the same time as you are preventing LCH from taunting your cats through the screens, you can also employ Feliway (pheromones that help cats feel more secure in their territory) inside to assist Oz in keeping calm.

Oh, we're all about the Feliway in this house.

Outside deterrents probably won't be necessary for now...it's getting colder and that door is rarely left open. But maybe next summer.

Sue, if you want to give the Feliway a try, I have some. My mother bought it to help with driving my sister's cat to New Brunswick, and it's still mostly full.

Thanks for the offer, but I am good.
