I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Sue, if you want to give the Feliway a try, I have some. My mother bought it to help with driving my sister's cat to New Brunswick, and it's still mostly full.

hip deep in pie

Sue, If there is one thing I have learned from watching "My Cat From Hell" it's that when a cat is under territorial stress, there are some steps that can be taken that are even more effective than medication. Here is a cat deterrent for Little Cat Hitler [link] It's a water sprinkler on a motion detector. It is a bit on the spendy side but it is actually slightly less than my veterinarian charges for an office call. At the same time as you are preventing LCH from taunting your cats through the screens, you can also employ Feliway (pheromones that help cats feel more secure in their territory) inside to assist Oz in keeping calm.

Oh, we're all about the Feliway in this house.

Outside deterrents probably won't be necessary for now...it's getting colder and that door is rarely left open. But maybe next summer.

Thanks for the offer, but I am good.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am an epic fuckup. Maybe this is because of the large chunk of this morning I spent awake (2:30->~4:30), but when I drive to work, I take my meds at work, just in case there is a wooze factor. I did make sure I had the right meds in the case--I just didn't make sure the case was in my BAG.

So I have no meds, and it's not like I can choose withdrawal (go withdrawal!), so sometime after the second missed dose (lunchtime) I will need to go home. Which is...I was expecting my ankle to cave around then anyway, so...but in the meanwhile, everything hurts, and I am exhausted.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You are not an epic fuckup. I can't believe you can brain at all, with all you are dealing with!

I just had a relatively successful meeting I was a little worried about, and then forgot about until 5 minutes prior! Good thing I did all the prep last week.

I forgot my snack too. Do I go downstairs and buy something and avoid taking calls for another fifteen minutes (and remove the ice pack), or...some days are less independent and adult than others.

At least I programmed my tablet to not make noise when it's face down at work. Woo hoo!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

ita, what Jesse said.

I need to go to the bank because I have a certified check to deposit and apparently I need to interact with a human to do that.

I'm trying to prepare for a work summit next week. I'm making slides and attempting to herd cats. I just have to keep reminding myself that it will over soon, and that I have two weeks to write a leadership report on it, and then Maui.

I found rice wrappers at the grocery store yesterday, so tonight for dinner I'm going to attempt making vegetarian Vietnamese spring rolls.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

oh ita, I'm sorry! What a morning.

My new supervisor just asked me to "bare with her." I was *thisclose* to telling her I don't know her well enough.

Honestly Amy, I don't know whether to commend your restraint or berate you for passing up a golden opportunity.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

homonyms are the bain (!) of my existence. but that's why I double check when I send out formal email messages.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

the part where I hate everything? yeah that.

moons ago when I felt I could deal with things, I would have just said, ok work people, I will just take charge....but I don't wanna take charge and whatnot. I DO NOT WANNA. still I may be forced to since there seems to be a truckload of passive aggressive power playing going on, and that is a dangerous game when said player is often wronger than a wrong thing.
